“Well, I did not expect that I would enjoy living in a small village, but it is definitely one of the best things that has ever happened to me – the beach, the fresh affordable food and the sunsets were everything I needed that month. Also, I find the community in Zorritos amazing – the fact how friendly and helpful they are and their desire to come to classes after full day at school/work was one of the main reasons why I fell in love with Peru.” Gabriela Georgieva, Bulgaria

“The town of Zorritos is beautiful with lovely people. It is a wonderful place to complete the course as being a small town it is not too overwhelming with the challenges of the course and being in a new country.” Jessica O’Donnell, Australia

JOB PLACEMENT PROGRAM, ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT

Many TEFL providers will offer job placement or assistance that only extends to providing a contact list of different schools and institutes in the country you’d like to teach in.

This is what makes TEFL Zorritos different. TEFL Zorritos graduates will benefit from our job placement program in Peru, including positions with a work visa, paid holidays, health insurance and other incredible benefits. The positions in Peru have been established through our relationships with local institutes and are located in cities and provincial areas throughout Peru. Please note that salaries are relative to the local cost of living and range from approximately S/1,200 – S/2,000 per month (although in Lima you can earn more) for teaching 20-30 hours per week. Rent for a furnished room in an apartment or house costs approximately S/300 – S/500 per month.

  1. During your course we contact the local institutes we work with, focusing on the cities our teachers are interested in, and get details of the available positions.
  2. In the last week of the course we coordinate with our graduates to place them in available and suitable positions and provide them with information about living and working in that city. Although we will take your preferences into account before placing you, where you will be placed will be based on the availability of positions at that time.
  3. Once you are placed we stay in touch with you, and the institute you are working for, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
